Outside and other things you might like to know...
Outside we have parking for 6 cars; it's quite a narrow lane but fine for cars. On the lawn, we have 2 large round wooden picnic tables seating 8 each, plus a number of benches, chairs and extra tables. We also provide some folding directors' chairs for outside use - dining on the lawn in the sunset, or reading a book in a quiet corner.
Lots of rabbits live among the dunes and may well come out to keep you company! There is a brick barbeque, a couple of windbreaks, beach mats, body boards and a selection of buckets and spades, so lots to keep you busy!
The Beach just below the house is 3 miles long, with the Hayle river estuary at our end, and Godrevy Head with the famous lighthouse at the other. In between is Gwithian, which is a famous surfing beach, and has great cliffs and rockpools. At various points along the beach, during the summer, lifeguards keep a watch out for bathers and their safety.
Watersports include windsurfing, kitesurfing, canoeing, sailing and fishing. There arelagoons at low tide for safe paddling and the sailing of model boats. There is a local shop in the season, plus a couple of pubs within walking distance. There are bus services to Penzance, St Ives and beyond. We are open all year and short breaks are available out of season.
